Bruce Irving Real Estate Site
Having produced television’s This Old House for 17 years, Bruce brings a unique and powerful set of skills to real estate. During his TV career, he coordinated dozens of complex whole-house renovations across the country, learned the hallmarks of quality design and construction, and amassed a wide-ranging set of industry contacts. He can see a home’s potential and prioritize its needs. Buyers and sellers alike know that he understands houses very well, and they appreciate his strong work ethic and sense of humor.
A graduate of Williams College, he is vice-chair of the Cambridge Historical Commission, a contributing editor at Design New England magazine, and writes about architecture and renovations for Maine Home + Design and Boston Home. He’s been profiled in the New York Times and quoted in Consumer Reports; Newsweek calls him "The House Whisperer.”
Bruce has also run a consulting business since 2006, guiding clients through their own home renovations, helping them build the right team for the task, and providing attentive project oversight—always with the homeowners’ best interests in mind.
A Cambridge resident since 1988, Bruce lives in the Strawberry Hill neighborhood with his wife and two teenaged girls.
